The beginning of this course is formed around the ideas of Betty Edwards, ‘Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain’. Betty thinks that we all already know how to draw but don’t always know how an artist ‘sees’ via the right hemisphere of the brain. The course will train you to see in a new way by eliminating preconceptions and old habits and will unblock the creative process. At the end of the course students will have at least two finished pieces of work to show in a group exhibition. The course is over 16 weeks on a Saturday afternoon broken up by school holidays. It is possible to do one term but the greatest benefit will be over the two.
Cost $198 / con $189 x 8 weeks or $395 con $378 for 16 sessions - materials extra
