Looking for a beginner-friendly woodworking class?

With guidance from your amazing tutor Rob, you will learn how to make a picture frame including cutting, gluing, and nailing the Tasmanian Oak timber together, oiling the timber, fitting the glass and backing board, fixing the backing board into place with small nails,  and also fitting wire on the back for wall hanging and dowel for a free-standing option.

You will need to attend the class on Thursday 23 November and Thursday 30 November to complete your picture frame.

Suitable for beginners.

All materials are provided.

About the tutor

Rob Nansen (Jesses Stump Blacksmithing and Bush Furniture) is a Melbourne-based artisan who works with iron and wood using traditional hand tools and techniques. Along with creating original pieces, Rob facilitates beginner workshops so others can also experience these slow and meditative crafts.
