Design and create 3 small plates – perfect for the dining table, as gifts or to display treasures. Choose a glaze in class and we will contact you within the next fortnight when your creation is ready to collect.

You can also book in for Japanese Pottery: Trio of small bowls in July with the same tutor.

  • slab, pinch and coiling methods

About the tutor

With 40 years experience, Shoko Mafune is a talented ceramicist. Early in her career Shoko completed a 4 year apprenticeship under a Japanese potter before moving to Australia. Since then Shoko has exhibited her artworks in Japan, Philippines and Australia. Shoko has been teaching her very popular pottery classes at YCC since 2012, with glowing reviews from all her students.
