Manga is a comic created in Japan and super popular among children all across the globe.
Johnny’s 4 week course teaches a series of exercises to introduce Japanese Manga Art to the children, understand the difference between characteristics and features, and visualise drawing characters in different poses.

Week 1: Introduction to Manga Art – Head proportions and features
Week 2: Hair and accessories
Week 3: Body proportions and figures in motion
Week 4: Continuing figures in motion and composition
Required art materials will be provided during the workshop.
Suitable for children aged between 9-15 years old.

About the Tutor
Johnny has extensive experience teaching Visual Art to children. He has created after-school Visual Arts programs for the children during school terms at OOSH, Neighbourhood Houses, libraries and weekend classes.
Johnny uses a proven step-by-step teaching method with a series of carefully planned in-depth exercises children are going to learn drawing, watercolour, oil-pastel and acrylic painting techniques to create quality artwork that will build student’s self-confidence.
Some of his classes include cartooning, clay modelling, Manga art, oil-pastel and paintings.
