In this three week course students will learn the slab technique to make Polymer clay, how to mix resin and make earrings and compose a variety of beads to create bespoke pieces to wear. This course is suitable for those wanting to learn some new skills and techniques to make jewellery for themselves or as gifts. No experience necessary, all materials and tools provided.
Week 1 – Advanced Polymer Clay
Discover the polymer clay slab method to make beautiful unique jewellery. Learn how to roll an even base, design a theme to maximise the amount of components that can be stamped out and how to roll and apply different colours to create a pattern. Students will take home a couple of pendants and 2-3 pairs of earrings.
Week 2 – Resin Jewellery
In this workshop students will be shown how to mix resin, how to colour using pigments, alcohol ink, foil and glitter to create different effects and set into assorted moulds to create earrings.The resin we use in non toxic, students will be required to wear gloves, not suitable for pregnant women or children under 16. Students will take home 3-4 pairs of statement earrings.
Week 3 – Wooden Beaded Necklaces
Students will learn how to thread wooden beads onto beading string using the traditional pearl knotting method. Many striking and different bead colours and styles to choose from. Students will take home 2 wooden beaded necklaces.

Anna Kolusniewski is a practising artist, teacher, jewellery and costume designer. Anna teaches a variety of art and craft classes across Melbourne, suitable for all age groups and always lots of hands-on creative fun.
