Course summary
Learn the basics of hand building to create plates and bowls with pigmented clay, including how to roll a slab and create patterns using embedded pigmented clay, how to design your own shape, cut and finish clay.
Anna will also teach you how to how to use Japanese wooden push moulds to create professional looking plates and bowls.
Finished pieces will be painted with a clear glaze in gloss or matte and fired in the kiln by Anna and can be collected two weeks after the class.
Students will complete 2-3 pieces.

About the tutor
Anna Kolusniewski is recognised as one of Australia leading costume jewellery designers. Her design interest include lead lighting, mosaic, sculpture, printing and fine art techniques, millinery, and metal and theatrical costumes.
Anna is passionate about teaching and sharing her extensive knowledge in jewellery making and art and craft techniques. She believes everyone has the ability to be creative and with positive encouragement can produce beautiful artwork.
