Sewing machine fundamentals – making PJs

Course summary

Discover the fundamentals of using a sewing machine while making your very own pyjamas. You will learn how to measure and choose the right size pattern and how to adjust the pattern for a better fit. If you are feeling up to it, you will learn how to sew piping. The pattern used for this class includes an easy collar, suitable for beginners.

Note: between the first and second sessions you’ll be purchasing your own fabric with guidance from your tutor

About the tutor

Ruth has been sewing for decades. She has a passion for making things for others, from children’s clothing, bags, juggling balls to finger puppet outfits. In recent years Ruth has been sewing more clothing for herself, including shirts to skirt and even jeans. She hopes to inspire more people to sew their own clothes.
