Join this workshop (for ages 12 +) to learn the art of Zen calligraphy, and create your art of beautiful writing!
Zen art is known for its elegant simplicity, embodied in the many paintings and calligraphies that consist of black ink on white paper or silk.
In this workshop, you will learn how to use the calligraphy brush and ink to write the Chinese character on calligraphy paper. Ink calligraphy is very relaxing and calm, the perfect way to give your teens a break away from their busy lives!
All materials are provided during the class.

About the tutor
Kim Hoa Tram, Chinese-Vietnamese, is a Zen artist living in Yarraville. As a Zen artist, ink painting is his style as well as Chinese calligraphy. In the past he has travelled and held his solo exhibition in many countries.
His works have been collected by the NGA (National Gallery of Australia), NGV, Queensland Art Gallery, and many private collectors. In 2008, he was chosen by NGV to hold the exhibition called “Moon in Reflection”.
