If you would like to learn to make authentic Mexican food then you need to do this hands-on workshop with Lety.

Coming from Mexico City, Lety is a self-confessed “foodie” who studied gastronomy just for pleasure! Her grandparents were bakers, and her family made sure she inherited a taste and talent for cooking.

Lety believes some of the best food in Mexico is found on the streets and she will teach you how to make a popular and delicious Mexican Enchiladas Verdes (green enchiladas) that are filled with tender chicken thighs and covered with cheese and rich tomatillo (pronounced “toe-mah-TEE-yo”) sauce. The combination of perfectly seasoned chicken with a delightful sauce makes for a fresh, flavorful, spicy, and delicious taste of Mexico.

Lety will share lots of authentic cooking tips and techniques during this fun workshop.

About the tutor

Lety moved to Melbourne from Mexico just in time to open a shop called Magenta Market in Williamstown at the beginning of the pandemic. Her background is in finance, team coaching, and health coaching, but her heart is in gastronomy and authentic food. Self confessed “foodie” Lety has travelled to 50 different countries and loves to learn about the local food and cultures of each country.

Lety studied gastronomy in Mexico City and is extremely passionate about authentic Mexican food. Her love of cooking comes from many generations in her family and she gets great pleasure in teaching and sharing her knowledge and skills.
