When Life Gives You Lemons... Let's help with your surplus of CITRUS!

Course summary

If you have too many lemons, limes, or other citrus, say goodbye to waste and hello to creativity!

We will not solve all your surplus citrus problems, but we will explore recipes and other household uses that will save some of your excess from the compost or rubbish.

What we make on the day depends on the fruit you bring along. You’ll learn how to transform surplus citrus into mouth-watering dishes bursting with flavor and freshness, starting with something like a citrus cordial.  From the many cake and biscuit options, we will bake something to take home!

Our tutor, Therese is very much a sweet tooth but she will try and talk about savoury options as well.

What you will learn

  • a variety of ways to use the excess produce that comes from your citrus trees

What you will get

  • recipe sheet with plenty of tips and ideas
  • information sheet

About the tutor

Therese Slee is a home baker who loves to bake biscuits, cakes, and scones. She enjoys sharing her recipes and shortcuts with others.
