Have you dreamed of learning Jazz, but think it’s too late? It most definitely is not!
Regardless of ability, this class encourages you to have fun!
Designed for all adult ages as a friendly, non-competitive jazz class to learn and develop jazz technique in a fun class with upbeat music.
The overarching aim is to create active individuals whilst offering a nurturing environment that helps develop confidence levels and teaches skills through movement.
Amelia will demonstrate and teach the class safe dance practices including an overview of the different styles of jazz, from the original jazz foundations to commercial jazz and Broadway jazz.
Jazz is all about musicality and includes a dynamic energy that no other style can provide.
So come along and learn what it is all about. No dance experience necessary.

- Jazz shoes. If you don’t have jazz shoes, runners or jazz-like sneakers that are comfortable to dance in.
About the tutor
Amelia (Millie) Leach is a passionate young dance teacher who has extensive experience in performing and teaching. Having previously worked within the local dance community for six years, she has a strong enthusiasm for bringing opportunities for dance and movement further into the community sector.
Combining her Certificate IV in full time dance, work experience and variety of performance experience (most recently WMTC’s May-June season of Mamma Mia and Scimm Dance Company’s ‘Nexus’ program), she hopes to foster a safe, fun environment for young movers to learn creatively.
On offer – numerous term-based classes tailored to different ages, from toddler and preschool creative movement classes all the way to intermediate jazz classes!
