Would you like to participate in Meditation May at YCC?
Take the time to nourish yourself and learn to strengthen your mind and body through guided meditation using sound.
Our bodies vibrate within and sometimes these vibrations can be out of step. Sound therapy can help to ease altered states of vibrations caused by pent-up emotions, stress, anxiety or tension in our daily lives.
Sound can also help restore health, evoke memory and/or restore emotional well-being.
You will explore music, chanting and brass instrumental sounds in this workshop to aid in your meditative journey.
This workshop will lead to the next workshop on discovering your higher self which will complement your meditative journey. That being said, this class can also stand alone.
What you will learn
- how to release stress, anxiety and tension
- how sound helps heals the body and clears the mind
- how to switch off your mind and tune into yourself
What you will get
- A handout to recap on what you have learnt each week
What you need to bring
- yoga mat
- blanket (optional)
- eye pillow (optional)
