Mini MasterChefs: A Full Day Savoury & Sweet Feast

Course summary

Join us for a deliciously fun school holiday adventure! Your children become culinary stars for the day.
In this hands-on cooking class, our Mini MasterChefs will whip up a variety of mouthwatering savoury dishes and scrumptious sweet treats — all while learning essential kitchen skills in a safe, supportive, and super fun environment.

We’re kicking off the day with a hands-on culinary adventure into the world of Asian flavours!
In the morning, your children will learn how to make their very own delicious Dumplings and comforting Wonton soup from scratch.  Guided step-by-step, each child will have a blast mixing fillings, folding dumpling wrappers, and mastering the art of shaping these juicy little parcels of goodness. They’ll also prepare a warm, flavourful wonton soup – the perfect pairing for their handmade dumpling.  It’s a fun, sensory experience that builds confidence in the kitchen while introducing children to new ingredients and cooking techniques. And the best part? After all their hard work, they will sit down together to enjoy a freshly cooked dumpling and wonton soup lunch, made entirely by them!

After a savoury-filled morning, it’s time to switch gears and get creative with baking!
In the afternoon, your little chefs will roll up their sleeves to bake adorable Fondant Animal Cookies. From mixing the dough to cutting out fun animal shapes, children will love watching their cupcakes come to life in the oven. Once baked to golden perfection, the real fun begins — decorating! With a rainbow of colourful fondants, each child will design and decorate their own edible animal masterpieces to take home (if they can resist eating them first!).

What parents love most about YCC’s school holiday programs is that they’re always unique and a little bit different. And not to mention, so much FUN!
