Join us at YCC for a fun-packed program of cooking and arts and craft.
Suitable for primary school aged children.
9.00am – 12.00pm – Make sausage rolls and sticky cinnamon pin wheels with Susan
The children will gather in the kitchen with Susan to make and bake their own sausage rolls for lunch and sticky cinnamon pin wheels for dessert. Yum! (recipes can be adjusted to suite dietary requirements)
About the tutor
Susan Stojanova has been cooking since she was 12 years old. She continues to create and experiment with old time European recipes and loves sharing her recipes, tips and variations. All of Susan’s classes use her own recipes and she gets great pleasure from seeing the enjoyment on her students faces when they taste their creations. Family, friends and students say that her baklava is the best!
12.00pm – 3.00pm – Make your own Kimmy Cantrell Mask with Anna
The children will learn how to design and assemble a Kimmy Cantrell inspired mask using foam and cardboard which can be using as wall art or a free standing sculpture.
Students will cut a base using eva foam and mould using a heat gun (teacher will do this), then embellish with cardboard and adhesive foam, then decorate with paint, metallic wax and paint pens.
Suitable for complete beginners.
All materials provided.
3.00pm – 5.00pm – Movie and popcorn
The children will settle in for an afternoon of watching Boss Baby: Family Business (rated PG) and popcorn to finish up a fun day.
Storyline: The Templeton brothers have become adults and drifted away from each other, but a new boss baby with a cutting-edge approach is about to bring them together again – and inspire a new family business.
What to bring:

- wear closed toe shoes
- wear casual clothes because it might get messy
IMPORTANT:
- Please ensure children are dropped off at YCC reception between 8.45am and 9.00am. Children will need to be picked up by 5.00pm.
- Please let reception staff know if your child has any allergies,
- All materials and lunch provided. BYO snacks, drink, container and apron.
