Course summary
This 3-hour workshop will give you all the confidence you need to dive into the wide world of mixed media.
A mixed media artwork combines more than one medium or material. In this workshop, we will be creating two-dimensional mixed media artworks.
Examples of materials we will use include:
- paint
- paper
- fabric
- breads
- gems
- string / thread
- markers
- pencil
Your teacher, Bridget, will provide you with a crash course on a range of mixed media artists to get you inspired before having a go yourself. You will warm up with some smaller activities before creating your very own masterpiece!
Basic art supplies are provided.

About the tutor
Bridget Evans is a passionate artist and educator with a background in Visual Art from Monash University. She spent seven years inspiring students as a high school art teacher before transitioning into adult education, where she continues to share her love for creativity. Bridget enjoys painting and has a deep passion for collage, always seeking new techniques and mediums to explore. She loves engaging with the art community, sharing ideas, and finding inspiration through collaboration.
