Flavour of Phuket Night Market

Course summary

Take a sensory trip to the bustling night markets of Phuket without leaving your kitchen.

This hands-on cooking class explores the vibrant, aromatic, and spicy street food that defines Thailand’s southern culinary scene. You will learn how to balance the quintessential Thai flavors—sweet, sour, salty, spicy, and umami—while cooking iconic dishes found in the heart of Phuket’s night market.

Perfect for food lovers and adventurous cooks, this workshop is a celebration of colour, spice, and culture—no passport required!

Dishes Covered:

  1. Som Tum (Green Papaya Salad): A zesty, crunchy salad with shredded green papaya, lime, chili, fish sauce, palm sugar, and roasted peanuts. Learn how to balance heat and acidity to create this classic Thai street food favorite.
  2. Mussels in Green Curry Sauce: A twist on the traditional green curry, this dish uses fresh mussels simmered in a fragrant green curry coconut sauce with Thai basil, kaffir lime, and galangal. Ideal for seafood lovers looking to elevate their curry game.
  3. Chicken Satay Skewers with Peanut Sauce: Tender, marinated chicken grilled to perfection and served on skewers, paired with a rich, creamy peanut sauce. Packed with bold, authentic Southeast Asian flavors, these skewers are perfect as an appetizer or a light main dish.
