Savoury & Sweets Cooking Fun!

Course summary

Get ready for a full day of cooking adventure! From savoury bites to sweet delights, it’s all about fun in the kitchen!

9.30am – 12.30pm: Savoury Creations

In the morning, children will dive into the art of Japanese cooking by preparing their very own lunch. Using soft, fluffy rice, they’ll shape Onigiri (rice balls) with playful moulds, then tuck in tasty savoury fillings such as Salted baked salmon, tuna mayo or mixed veggies with mushrooms to create unique flavour combinations. Each child gets to experiment freely and enjoy the delicious results of their creativity for lunch!

12.30pm – 3.30pm: Sweet Adventures

After lunch, the excitement continues with a sweet twist! Children will roll up their sleeves to craft Mango Mochi—a chewy, fruity Japanese treat and learn the delicate techniques of making golden, paper-thin crepes filled with strawberries, mangoes, bananas or chocolate. It’s hands-on, deliciously fun, and the perfect way to explore the joy of making sweets from scratch.

What parents love most about YCC’s school holiday programs is that they’re always unique and a little bit different. And not to mention, so much FUN!

Suitable for children aged between 7 and 12 years old.
