Did you know you can create beautiful prints on paper or fabric using real flowers and leaves?
Eco printing is a joyful, nature-led art form where curiosity is encouraged, play is part of the process, and it’s truly impossible to make a mistake! Every flower and leaf brings its own surprise.
In this relaxed, friendly class, you’ll explore an inspiring mix of plants, fabrics, and techniques. By the end, you’ll take home your own one-of-a-kind organic textile artwork, ready to wear, frame, or transform into whatever your imagination dreams up.
What you will learn
- how to identify certain plants to make great prints anytime you like!
- different techniques used to print with plants, including steaming and hammering
- what types of surfaces (papers, fabrics, etc.) are best for making plant prints
What you will get
- everything you have made including practice pieces on fabric and paper
- your own 100% silk scarf
What you need to bring
- an apron and gloves (unless you don’t mind getting a bit dirty)
- flowers and leaves from home (optional)
