Discover the art of fused glass in this hands-on creative workshop!
You’ll learn the fundamentals of this captivating technique, where layers of coloured glass are arranged and kiln-fired to fuse into a single, polished piece.
Session 1: Design & Create
You’ll learn about the tools, materials, and essential safety practices before designing and assembling three unique glass pendants. Choose from a variety of vibrant glass pieces, frits, and stringers to craft your own one-of-a-kind designs.
After the session, your creations are carefully transported and fired in a professional kiln off-site. This process enhances the colours and smooths the edges, transforming your designs into polished, wearable art.
Session 2: Collection & Follow-Up
One week later, return to collect your finished pendants, which are perfect as keepsakes or heartfelt handmade gifts. The tutor will add pendant bails so you can complete your creations by assembling them with a necklace of your choice. jewellery with a chain of your choice. During this follow-up, you’ll also have the opportunity to gain additional tips, learn techniques for making fused glass pendants at home, and find inspiration to continue exploring the world of fused glass art.

About the Tutor
Peter Hawes is a fused glass artist who has had five exhibitions in Australia and two internationally and is a small business owner and is also vice chair on the board of a not for profit organisation in NSW.
