Leatherworking: Card Holder

Course summary

Join us for a hands-on, 3-hour workshop where you’ll craft a personalised double card holder made predominantly from Kangaroo leather!

Guided by an experienced tutor, you’ll explore the full leatherworking process: cutting, tooling, edging, tooling, dyeing, antiquing, and finishing your piece to perfection. Once your design is complete, you’ll stitch or rivet your tooled leather onto the front of the card holder, creating a functional and stylish accessory that’s uniquely yours. It’s a fantastic way to keep all your cards together.

No experience necessary.

About the tutor

Wendy Tonkin is a fully qualified and experienced leather worker and instructor. Wendy’s Leather Learning is a new business dedicated to providing quality leatherworking tutorials to individuals, craft enthusiasts, and community groups throughout Victoria. With a focus on intimate, hands-on workshops, participants are guided through safe tool use, skill development, and environmentally conscious practices, all while completing beautiful, functional leather projects. Each session uses natural, earthy leather to craft bespoke, handmade items that are both practical and personal. Wendy’s approach blends traditional craftsmanship with a modern appreciation for sustainability and creativity.
