About the tutor

A specialist in authentic North Indian cuisine, Seema Choubey has been teaching cooking classes across Melbourne for over a decade. For the past 10 years, she has shared her skills and passion with our community where she now feels very much at home.

Seema’s teaching style is informal, hands‑on, and highly interactive, creating a fun and welcoming environment for all participants. She joyfully shares not only her culinary expertise but also the traditions, stories, and cultural heritage behind each dish.

Her love for food continues to deepen, inspired by the enthusiastic students who bring such energy to every class. As Seema says, “Sharing the flavours, stories, and traditions of Indian cuisine—its spices, culture, and warmth—remains an incredible privilege.”
