Course summary

This 1-hour dance workshop for children aged 7 – 10 year olds starts with a fun energetic warm-up set to popular songs that children know and love, helping them build confidence and get moving.

Once everyone is energised, they will then learn a simple, engaging dance routine step by step, focusing on enjoying the music and movement. The pace is supportive and encouraging, allowing every child to feel successful.

The workshop wraps up with a relaxed mini showcase, giving children the chance to share what they’ve learned. This final moment builds confidence, strengthens group connection, and leaves them with a routine they can remember, repeat, and proudly show to family and friends.

About the tutor

Valeriya holds a degree in Fashion Design and has a strong passion for textiles and hands-on creative work. She has experience delivering tie-dye workshops across a range of formats and age groups, adapting sessions to suit different participants and settings. She enjoys sharing the bright, playful process of tie-dye in a way that is engaging and accessible, while guiding participants to create pieces they’ll genuinely use and wear.

In addition to her visual arts practice, Valeriya brings over 10 years of dance experience from overseas. She has performed in large-scale productions and worked as both a performer and choreographer. Combining creativity in both movement and making, she creates fun, energetic classes where children can express themselves through dance and hands-on art.
