Join us during Law Week for a presentation on “Employment Equality – Discrimination and Sexual Harassment” being delivered by WEstjustice at Yarraville Community Centre.
Victorian Law Week is an annual festival that makes learning about the law easy. It’s there to help Victorians understand their rights, find answers to their questions, and find out what help is available to them.
The session is aimed at the CALD community and all those who are working and want to learn more about their rights and responsibilities in the workforce. This also includes the introduction of legal options for people who have experienced sexual harassment at work.
Morning tea will be served.
The session will increase your understanding of:
- What is workplace sexual harassment and discrimination
- What are the legal obligations of your employer when it comes to workplace sexual harassment and discrimination
- Tips for resolving issues relating to workplace sexual harassment and discrimination and legal avenues available
- How to report sexual harassment at work and what might happen after a report is made
- How you can receive free and confidential legal advice and assistance when you have experienced workplace discrimination and/or sexual harassment from Westjustice
