Course summary
Carers Week is a dedicated time to recognize and celebrate the vital contributions of unpaid carers, those who support family members or friends with illness, disability, or age-related needs.
It highlights the challenges carers face and promotes awareness of the support they need to maintain their own wellbeing. The week also encourages communities, employers, and governments to better value and support carers, ensuring they’re not overlooked or isolated. To mark the occasion, Yarraville Community Centre is hosting a terrarium workshop followed by a shared morning tea. This wonderful workshop and morning tea is made possible with the support from Carers Victoria.
Start with the basics of plant care and selection, then move onto the creative part – constructing your own piece of sustainable art with the vessels provided.
Your finished product can be used as a beautiful art display for your home or also a wonderful gift idea.
