Blacksmithing - making a cheese knife

Course summary

Join this adult workshop to learn the craft of blacksmithing (for ages 10+)!

In this workshop, you will lean how to turn an 8 mm round piece of mild steel bar into a functional cheese knife by making a decorative end, bending the bar to form a handle, then forging a blade which will then be sharpened using hand-powered grinders and sharpening stones.
The ‘finishing’ is done with bees wax!

This workshop is both engaging and calming, the perfect activity to unplug and get creative.

All materials are provided including first aid kit and safety gloves.
