Get ready for a full day of imagination, hands-on fun, and creative discovery!
This unique school holiday program brings together the best of cooking and clay modelling for an unforgettable experience filled with flavour, art, and endless creativity.
In the morning, children will step into the kitchen to make their very own Bánh Mì — Vietnam’s famous and delicious sandwich. They’ll learn how to prepare fresh ingredients such as pickled carrots, cucumber, coriander, spring onions, explore new flavours, such as grilled Vietnamese chicken and pork skewer and assemble their sandwich just the way they like it. After all their hard work, they’ll sit down to enjoy their homemade Bánh Mì for lunch.
In the afternoon, the creative fun continues as children explore the world of clay modelling. Using air-dry clay, they’ll sculpt, shape, and design their own unique creations — learning basic techniques while letting their creativity shine.
It’s the perfect full-day experience for young makers who love to cook, create, and have fun!

9.30am – 12.30pm: Making Banh Mi for Lunch
In this fun and interactive class, children will learn how to prepare their very own Bánh Mì — Vietnam’s iconic savoury sandwich. From slicing fresh vegetables and preparing the fillings, to assembling the baguette with their own unique flair, each step is an opportunity to explore flavour, culture, and creativity.
This class is all about building confidence in the kitchen, trying new ingredients, and creating a delicious meal they’ll be proud to take home and share with the family!
12.30pm – 1.00pm: Lunch Break
1.00pm – 3.30pm: Exploring Clay Modelling
Children will learn how to shape, sculpt, and design unique creations using air-dry clay — a versatile and mess-free medium that doesn’t require kiln firing. From adorable animals and fun figures to imaginative objects, the possibilities are endless – limited only by their creativity!
This hands-on session blends basic sculpting techniques with open-ended creativity in a relaxed, social setting — perfect for children ready to explore, create, and have fun!

With a deep-rooted passion for food and a heart full of joy for bringing people together, Kate Ngo is a dynamic culinary expert and the founder of Labour of Love, a unique culinary school designed for all ages and abilities. Her approach to teaching cooking and baking is both fun and interactive, ensuring that every student feels empowered and inspired in the kitchen. For seven years, Kate ran a successful baking business that focused on macarons, custom-made cookies, cakes, and desserts for all occasions. Her baked goods have not only satisfied taste buds but also created memorable experiences for her clients. Through this venture, she developed a reputation for creating visually stunning, wholesome dishes that marry flavour and aesthetics. As an expert in Asian cuisine and a wide variety of desserts, Kate brings a special touch to her classes, offering students the opportunity to learn about and embrace diverse culinary traditions.
