Hands-On Fun: Move, Create & Bake!

Course summary

This holiday program wraps children in a world of movement, colour, and delicious discovery.
Children will dance, create, laugh, and learn — shaping memories as vibrant as the tote bag and socks they design and as sweet as the treats they make.
It’s a day that celebrates creativity in all its forms, from expressive movement to hands‑on making, all in a supportive environment.

What parents love most about YCC’s school holiday programs is that they’re always unique and a little bit different. And not to mention, so much FUN!

Suitable for children aged between 7 and 12 years old.

9.30am – 10.30am: Creative Dance Workshop

This 60-minute dance class for children starts with a fun and energetic warm-up set to popular songs that children know and love, helping them build confidence and get moving. Children will then learn a simple, engaging dance routine step by step, focusing on enjoying the music and movement. The class finishes with a relaxed mini showcase, where students can share what they’ve learned.

10.30am – 12.00pm: Tie Dye – Tote Bag & Socks Workshop

Get creative with colour in this exciting tie-dye workshop! Children will learn easy tie-dye techniques, experiment with vibrant patterns, and transform a tote bag and pair of socks into unique wearable artworks. Everyone will take home their own colourful creations, along with tips for caring for them.

12.30pm – 3.30pm: Layered Fruit Parfaits

Discover the art of creating delicious layered desserts in this fun, hands-on workshop. Children will learn how to make three different styles of layered desserts, each with its own flavour profile, textures and techniques. Participants will get creative while assembling and decorating their parfait-style treats, exploring a variety of ingredients and presentation styles. Each child will create their own desserts to enjoy and take home to share with family.
