Course summary
Get ready for a full day of imagination, hands-on creativity, and delicious fun!
This unique school holiday program blends Art & Baking into one unforgettable experience.
In the morning, children will dive into the world of 3D art as they learn how to twist, bend, and shape paper and wire into expressive sculpture. Whether it’s whimsical animals, abstract forms, or imaginative characters, children will explore texture, form, and structure while developing fine motor skills and artistic confidence.
After a creative morning, it’s time to head into the kitchen! Children will roll up their sleeves to bake and decorate their very own cake log from mixing the batter to rolling the sponge and adding sweet fillings and toppings. It’s a deliciously fun way to learn basic baking techniques and express their creativity through edible art.
What parents love most about YCC’s school holiday programs is that they’re always unique and a little bit different. And not to mention, so much FUN!
Suitable for children aged between 7 and 12 years old.
9.30am – 12.00pm: Free-Form Paper Wire Sculpting
Discover the versatile art of paper wire sculpture in our engaging workshop, where creativity meets flexibility.
You will learn to craft a wire framework and cover it with paper, forming unique sculptures limited only by your imagination. Your children can bring personal items (such as fabric, wood, inspirational photos/sketches, small embellishments such as buttons or breads, or coloured paper) to customise your pieces. This hands-on experience blends technique with open-ended creativity, inviting everyone to explore and express their artistic ideas in a fun, social setting.
