This class is focused on practical and essential French covering classic travel and everyday situations, from ordering food and asking for directions to engaging in simple conversations with locals. Each session is interactive, giving you plenty of opportunities to develop your speaking and listening skills in a supportive environment.

You also gain valuable cultural insights that help bring the language to life. The class is taught by a French born, raised and educated tutor who brings authentic pronunciation, real-world context, and a warm, engaging teaching style to every lesson.

About the tutor

Valerie is a local tutor passionate about sharing her knowledge, time and experience with the community. She has experience as a French assistant in high schools, private tutoring, and teaching English in French primary schools. She is known for being patient, empathetic and attentive to each student’s needs.

With a personalised approach, real-world conversation practice, and no-textbook approach, her primary goal is to make you feel at ease while equipping you with practical skills to handle everyday situations confidently.
