This 6-week class is designed to immerse students in the rich language and culture of France from day one. Throughout the course, you will develop a solid foundation in basic French, with a focus on practical conversational skills.

You will learn to introduce yourself and your families, engage in simple yet meaningful conversations, express your likes and dislikes, and order food at restaurants.

What you will learn

  • Greetings and Introductions: Mastering the basics of introducing yourself, exchanging pleasantries, and engaging in simple conversations
  • Family and Relationships: Learning vocabulary and phrases to talk about family members, relationships, and personal backgrounds
  • Everyday Communication: Acquiring the ability to navigate common daily scenarios, including ordering food, asking for directions and making simple purchases
  • Cultural Awareness: Gaining insights into French culture, customs, and social norms to enhance language comprehension and foster cultural appreciation

About the tutor

Born and raised in Paris, Marion has always had a passion for all things arts and theatre. This passion motivated her studies, completing a Masters of Theatre and French Literature at La Sorbonne Nouvelle in 2018.  After deciding to take time to herself and travel, Marion has settled in Melbourne for almost 5 years. Her professional experiences to date have sent her on the pursuit of her own theatre adventure, teaching French and directing plays in Melbourne.

Always happy to share her passion, Marion has been teaching French and Drama for 3 years now.
